Maibaum

One who is in India need not wait for Sun, not so in Germany. I had heard the song "Sommer Sonne" and had thought why this? Do people miss Sun so much. I did realize it within few days of my stay in Germany. It sure makes a lot of difference indeed. Without Sun day is dull.

Weather forecast said it's gonna be Sunny on Sunday. With our German guests, we set out to Ahrweiler which was around 50 km form Bonn. These cities (Bonn and Ahrweiler) are on the bank of Rhine. There is a beautiful stretch you can drive along. Going by train is more fun as you can see the river's magnificent flow.

City was full of hotels. Typical tourist spot. People came here to trek n to camp. We sat in the coffee shop with an ice cream under the Sun in the evening. Sun was really bright at 7. We chatted for a long time about the plants, the hotels, the crazy bike riders and the cars. Waitress came to us to remind that it was gonna be 8 and she had to leave for home. Evening 8 means in Germany means "All Close". hmm... Back home, in India, I used to come back home by that time n have tea. Well India sleeps late ;).

So we had to get out of the restaurant but the talk found no bound of the time. German guests were in their 60's . Amused by the young generation. As we drove back home, we saw a truck carrying huge branch of a tree. Decorated with color papers. It has a beautiful story behind.

On 30th April night, these decorated trees stand as a message of love in front the Girl's house. Now you got it. Men erect the branch in front of their Sweethearts' house as a proposal. And it's called Maibaum ( May tree/May pole). It is not just any tree branch, but specially from the tree, Birche. This year it is girls' turn I heard. Girl brought the branch and decorated for her sweetheart.

Every country, every region, every state has it's own culture. Different colors of nature and life. Thoughts and beliefs. They are like different colors in rainbow. It looks beautiful only because it has different colors.

Dot Seven thirty I was in the Bus. I make sure I leave early so that I reach office early. Just a delay of about fifteen minutes usually costs an hour delay due to the slow moving traffic. So a better deal is to leave early. But today was a very unlikely day. Despite all my pre plans, I got stuck in a slooooow moving terrific traffic that in turn inspired this month's blog post :). Neither I've complaints about the traffic nor any suggestion to get out of it. First task is pretty boring and the latter is laborious. Just an observation i'd love to put up. ಹಾಡು, ಇದೇ ಹೊಸ ಹಾಡು

'ಹಾಡೊಂದ ಹಾಡುವೆ ನೀ ಕೇಳು ಮಗುವೇ' .... ಯಾರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವಿದು ನೆನಪಾಯ್ತ? ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ರೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು. ಇದು ಅರ್.ಎನ್. ಜಯಗೋಪಾಲ ಅವರು ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಗೀತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು. ಇಂತಹ ಹಾಡನ್ನ ಕೇಳುವುದರಷ್ಟೇ ಆನಂದ ಅದನ್ನ ಬರೆದವರ ನೆನೆಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಕಲಾ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ನಾವು ತೋರಬಹುದಾದ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಅದು. ಹಳೆಯ ಹಾಡುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದೇನು ಮೋಡಿ ಇತ್ತು! ಗೀತೆ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಲು ಬೇಕಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಕರಗಳನ್ನ ಹೇಗೆ ಅವರು ಹೊಂದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೋ! ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಗೀತ ಪೈಪೋಟಿ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತೇನೋ ಆಗ. ಗೀತೆಗಳ ಅರ್ಥದ ಆಳ ಅಪಾರ. ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಿಸುವ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಲಿ, ಹೋಗಲಿ ಸಮಯ ಯಾರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ? ಹಾಗಂತ ಸರಸ್ವತೀ ಪುತ್ರರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನ ಮರೆತರೆ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದೇ? ಅದೇನೆ ಇರಲಿ. ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳನ್ನ ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ನಾವು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬೇಕಲ್ಲವೇ? ಸಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನದೊಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ. ಲಭ್ಯವಾದ ಹಾಡಿನ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಹಾಡು ಮತ್ತದರ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಆದರದ ಸ್ವಾಗತ. ಹಾಡು: ಇದೇ ಹೊಸ ಹಾಡು * ಚಿತ್ರ: ನನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ * ಹಾಡಿದವರು: ಪಿ. ಬಿ. ಎಸ್ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ: ಕಣಗಾಲ್ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ * ಸಂಗೀತ: ಘಂಟಸಾಲ ಇದೇ ಹೊಸ ಹಾಡು, ಹೃದಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹಾಡು ಹೃದಯಾಷೆ ಭಾಷೆ ಈ ಹಾಡು { ಇದೇ ಹೊಸ } ಮನದೆ ನೆನೆದ ಮಾತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಮಧುವಾಗಿ ಸವಿಯುವ ಹಾಡು ಸವ

ಹೊಸ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಹೊಸ ಗಾಳಿಯ ಹೊಸ ಬಾಳನು ತಾ ಅತಿಥಿ
