Little Realistic...

Buddie called me for a usual talk. This time he was thrilled. I could make out his excitement. It was for all good reasons. He got VISA for an onsite assignment just after a few months of joining an MNC. Haaa... I said, "I should idolize you. All your hardwork and determination is paid off". He politely declared that it was all because of God's grace. He said, "Look, just a month ago I was thinking of travelling by a local train so that I could save some money. Now, I have a flight ticket booked. I feel so weird". How Buddie had struggled for more than six months for a job after his contract with a company was over, looked like a fairy tale. His contract was terminated mojorly because of recession. With three years of experience in the field of Mobile Protocol testing he started his job hunt. Initially he used say he'd get an offer soon. IPL is over with the glory as expected. I didn't follow it much except last few matches. Every now and then updates would just fall on my ears. That's how a blog called Fake IPL player caught my attention. At the bottom of this blog you will see a disclaimer by the Fake player claiming that everything in the blog is mere fiction. I'm less bothered about whether he's a true player or fake. I'd rather sit back and enjoy reading his blog.... Fake IPL Player . I enjoyed reading the blog more than watching that game indeed. ಒಂದು ಮುಂಜಾವಿನಲಿ ಕಾಲುದಾರಿ ಸವೆಸಿ ಚಾಮುಂಡಿಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತಪ್ಪಲು ತಲುಪಿದಾಗ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದ ಆತಿಥೇಯ.

ಮೌನ ...ಮಾನಸ ಸರೋವರದ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯೋ, ಚಂಡಮಾರುತದ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಯೋ? ಅಧರಗಳ ಗಂಟು ರಚಿಸುವುದು ಭೇದಿಸಲಾಗದ ಚಕ್ರವ್ಯೂಹವೋ, ಇದರ ಆದಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಂತ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲಿ? ಮಾತು ಸೋತಾಗ ಮೌನ ಭಾವನೆಗಳ ದ್ವಂದ್ವ, ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ಯಾವ ಚೇತನದ್ದೋ? ಮೌನದ ರಾಜಬೀದಿಯಲಿ, ಮನ ತೇರೆಳೆಯುವುದು ಹೊಂಗನಿಸಿನದ್ದೋ ಒಡೆದ ಕನಸಿನದ್ದೋ? ಮೌನ...ಮಧುರವೋ ಕಟುವೋ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವೋ ಆಡಂಬರವೋ ಉತ್ತರಮುಖಿಯೋ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಾತೀತವೋ...ಎನೀ..?

ಕಳೆದ ತಿಂಗಳು "ನನ್ನ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾ" ಚಿಂತನಾ ಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ನನ್ನದಾಯಿತು. ಇದು ಸಂವಾದ . ಕಾಂ ಹಾಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ. ಕಾಂ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿ ಗಿರೀಶ್ ಕಾಸರವಳ್ಳಿ ಅವರ ಗೌರವಾರ್ಥ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ರಸಗ್ರಹಣ ಶಿಬಿರ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೇಂದ್ರಬಿಂದು - ಶ್ರೀ ಗಿರೀಶ್ ಕಾಸರವಳ್ಳಿ ಈ ಪತ್ರ "ನನ್ನ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾ" ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅನುಭವವಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತ. A cinema can Impress, Influence, and/or Inspire (i3) us. ಯಾವ ಚಿತ್ರ i3 ಆಗಬಲ್ಲದು ಎಂಬುದು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದು commercial film ಅಥ್ವಾ ಅಪರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿತ್ರ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಆಗಬಹುದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ "ಅಪರೂಪ" ಎಂದು ಬರೆದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಿದೆ. ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಅದೇನಿದ್ರು serious film critique's choice. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಇಂತಹ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಹೂರಣ ಸಮಾಜದ ಹುಳುಕು ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತಮ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಕನಸು. ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಯಾರ ನೋವು ನಲಿವನ್ನ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾಗಿರತ್ತೋ ಅವರೇ ಅದನ್ನ ನೋಡೋಲ್ಲ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾಗಬೇಕಿರುವುದು ಯಾವುದು? ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಮಾಡುವ ರೀತಿಯೋ ಅಥವಾ ನೋಡುಗರೋ? ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನ ಮನರಂಜನೆಗೆ ನೋಡುವವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು. ನೀವು ಯಾವಾಗಲಾದರು "ನಾನು frame by frame ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡ್ಕೊತೀನಿ" ಅಂತ ಥಿಯೇಟರಿಗೆ ಹೋ...
